Privacy Policy

QueKit is a private relationship-memory app. Privacy isn't a feature we added — it's the architecture. This page explains exactly what data exists, where it lives, and what leaves your device.

Your memories live on your device

Everything you save in QueKit — people, notes, memories, reminders, dates, preferences, and connections — is stored locally on your device. QueKit's servers do not keep a copy of your saved content. There is no server-side database of your relationships.

AI features and what leaves your device

• On-device AI (default when supported): notes are organized using Apple's on-device models. Nothing leaves your phone.
• Cloud AI (optional, off until you explicitly agree): when you enable it, the relevant saved context is included inside a request to our AI relay, which forwards it to an AI provider to produce the answer, and returns the result. Our relay is stateless — it does not store your content. We minimize what is sent (only the people relevant to your question, not your whole contact book).
• You can turn Cloud AI off at any time (Settings → AI model → On-device only), which also revokes your consent, and Private Mode enforces zero egress regardless of other settings.

No accounts

QueKit has no user accounts and no sign-in of any kind. There is nothing to register for, no email or password to give us, and no profile stored on our servers. Your device identifies itself to our AI relay with a key generated on the device itself, which is not tied to your name or email.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-user identifier and transaction status to activate QueKit Pro. We never see your payment details.

Diagnostics and crash reports

• Local diagnostics: QueKit can record sanitized diagnostic events (feature timings, error categories) on your device. These contain no note text, names, or personal content, and you can disable them in Settings.
• Crash reports: if the app crashes, a crash report is sent to Sentry, our crash-reporting provider, so we can fix the bug. These reports contain the technical stack trace and device model. They are configured to exclude personal information: no IP address, no user identifier, and none of your notes, names, or memories.

What we don't do

• No advertising, no trackers, no selling or sharing of personal data.
• No server-side store of your saved relationships or notes.
• No AI training on your content by QueKit.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete all my data erases everything QueKit stores on your device, including caches. Because there are no accounts and no server-side copy of your memories, that deletion is complete — there is nothing left on our side to request the removal of. Deleting the app from your device also removes its data.

Backups and moving to a new device

QueKit's optional iCloud backup is encrypted with a key held only in this device's keychain, which means it can restore onto this same device and installation only. It is a safety net against data loss on this phone — it is not a way to move your memories to a new phone. Restoring purchases on a new device restores your QueKit Pro subscription, not your saved people or memories. We are working on a proper export and transfer path; until it ships, please treat your saved memories as living on this device.
